Important Information & Conditions governing the acceptance of Reservations
  1. All reservations are accepted subject to the provisions of the Natal Nature Conservation Ordinance, No. 15 of 1974, the KwaZulu-Natal Nature Conservation Act, No. 29 of 1992, as well as the KwaZulu-Natal Nature Conservation Management Act, No. 9 of 1997, and the regulations promulgated thereunder, as amended.
  2. Only dates prior to the 31 October 2017 can be made online. Standard Rack rate will apply to all online bookings.   3. Your credit card serves as a guarantee for this booking. An immediate 100% deposit is required to secure the reservation.
  4. New tariffs are applicable from November each year. Quotes are based on the current tariff, differences to be settled on arrival at the camp.
  5. The Board reserves the right to amend tariffs and levies without prior notice.
  6. Refunds on or after the arrival date will be processed by the Regional Office, on recommendation from the camp. Only cancellation made prior to arrival will be processed at Central Reservations. Cancellation of Guaranteed bookings must be in writing and supported with documentation.  Cancellation and refund requests can be emailed to: refund@kznwildlife.com or faxed to 0865058891. Refund of bookings prior to arrival date will be charged a cancellation fee as follows:

  7. Visitors shall inform the Reservations office in Pietermartizburg of changes to their reservations timeously.
  8. Visitors are requested to note arrival and departure times as well as gate closing times.
    Check in time -14h00 until reception closes on the arrival date, Check out time - 10h00 on the day of departure. All Resorts (Excluding those below): Oct to Mar = 05h00 - 19h00 and Apr to Sept = 06h00 - 18h00.
    Thendele: Oct to Mar = 05h00- 22h00 and Apr to Sept. = 06h00- 22h00.
    Cape Vidal : Nov to Mar = 05h00 - 19h00 and Apr to Oct 06h00 - 18h00
    Hilltop, Imfolozi & Ithala : Nov to Feb = 05h00 - 19h00 and Mar to Oct 06h00 - 18h00.
    Monks Cowl : 6am to 6pm all year round
    Didima, Midmar & Sodwana Bay ARE 24 HOURS
  9. Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park Conservation Levy: (To be paid on arrival at the gate.). 1 Nov 2016 - 31 Oct 2017: International Visitors pay a conservation levy of R210.00  per person per night. South African Visitors pay R105  per person per night. Children aged 3 to 12 years pay half the adult rate. Ezemvelo gates – Valid Rhino Gold Card and Wild Card members are accepted for free entry at all gates, except at those gates controlled by iSimangaliso and are also dependant on the cluster and number of people the card was purchased for.
  10. The total number of people may under no circumstances exceed the total number of beds indicated on this advice form.
  11. All hutted accommodation units are fully equipped, including refrigerators, bedding, crockery and cutlery (except in all rustic accommodation and mountain huts).
  12. No mechanical generators are allowed. Visitors are advised to bring a torch.
  13. No pets allowed in any reserve of park.
  14. Specific accommodation units, campsites or requests cannot always be guaranteed.
  15. Foodstuffs are obtainable at certain reserves and resorts . Ithala (Ntshondwe), Giants Castle, Didima, and Hluhluwe (Hilltop) have restaurant facilities. Take away light meals are available at uMkhuze
  16. You are advised to take precautions against malaria before, during and after your visit to reserves north of the Tugela River. Please consult your doctor/ Pharmacist.
  17. Ezemvelo provides facilities at certain resorts for the physically disabled, contact the Central reservations Office for more details.  These units are subject to availability.
